To the Owner or most likely the General Manager of Crown GMC Buick in Saint Petersburg, I grew up in this business. My family ran a 150-car independent dealership right here in Tampa Bay for 37 years, ranking in the top three for sales every single month. We did it by following one simple rule: have the best prices and quality around and always answer the phone while putting the customer first. Selling cars came second. This Friday I called to schedule service on my 2025 GMC Yukon. The corporate line booked me for Saturday at 9:30 a.m., but I specifically asked for a service advisor to call me that afternoon so I could explain the multiple problems with the vehicle. No one called. Between 3 and 5 p.m. that Friday I called your service department over a half dozen times — nobody picked up. Saturday morning I called over a dozen times starting at 9:30. Still nothing. I had to waste my Saturday and drive there in person just to talk to a real human being. That’s pathetic customer service. Your service manager George was actually really great — kind, professional, and experienced. But while talking to another employee, I learned you used to have a dedicated customer service person whose only job was taking care of customers giving them one on one attention and handling overflow phone calls. That position I guess was cut. I’m 43 and retired, but I still own several companies today. In every one of them, I have one employee whose only role is making sure customers feel valued with personal one-on-one attention and that the phone always gets answered. That single hire more than pays for itself. To whoever controls the budget and made the decision to eliminate that position — this one’s on you. You’re deliberately choosing to save a buck while giving your customers terrible service. Running an entire service department with just one person on a Saturday is completely unacceptable. You’re not just frustrating people, you’re driving them away. After many years working every position in your industry, I can tell you without hesitation: you’re making a very expensive mistake. Real customer service isn’t optional — it’s the entire game. And right now, you’re failing at it. Ross Kashtan

During a family trip to FL, we scheduled service at another GMC dealership, only to be informed the maintenance needed would be about four hours (and I could tell it was likely going to be longer than that, even with an appointment). So I decided to leave and scheduled service for Crown the next day. Sooooo incredibly glad I did. Seeing their review ratings gave me a sense of assurance before stepping foot inside. Once we did, I could easily see why they are currently at 4.9 stars. George was amazing!! Not only was he accommodating, but he did everything he could to make sure we were well informed of the progress along the way and helped get our family of four out in less than the original three hours quoted. Not to mention, when there was additional items uncovered (that were not detrimental to the operation of our vehicle), we were advised to have it taken care of when we return. There were no high pressure tactics to get us to have more work done (than was truly needed). Simply because of that, if we had the extra time, I would've asked them do that maintenance as well!! The atmosphere was inviting and friendly. If we ever need work done again, and are in the area, 100% we'd intentionally go out of our way to visit them again. Top notch!

Update 20260421....George did an amazing job handling my new trucks first service this month. He helped save me $$ and provided excellent customer service. Tammy Wagner is awesome for service and the whole team there is very customer oriented - and it shows with the end product. Very professional and prompt. Will most likely purchase my next GMC truck there!

Bought a new 2026 Buick Envista ST from “Crown Buick GMC in St. Pete. FL.” This is a long standing “A+ strong reputation” GM products dealership, including a very good & responsive service department (especially George & John G.). They carry the excellent GM lineup from Buick & GMC; and I have owned both now for over 10 years. In our family members opinion(s) Buick’s 2026-27 line-up is among the “best $ price/values” in the industry. Ed in sales and Max in their Crown management were very efficient, courteous and professional - - top “A” pro’s ! Wife’s color choice was the GM sticker factory added $495 for Metallic Moonstone Gray. Our appreciation & regards to above Crown Team; with all of our THX 👍 Tom
