Bought multiple vehicles from Chevrolet of Huntington but picking up a new 2500 pickup today and the crew from Chevrolet were great. Mike Cody was my salesman and Frank Montero was my finance guy. No hassle transaction and I couldn’t be happier. A+

Update – August 29, 2026 Unfortunately, my experience with Empire Chevrolet continued to deteriorate even after I gave the dealership another opportunity to resolve the problems with my original transaction. After the first deal was unwound, I was told that management had worked extensively on my behalf, had “bent over backwards” to make a difficult deal possible, and I was asked to reconsider or remove my negative review based on those efforts. I gave them another chance. I returned to the dealership and went through the finance process again for a new transaction with different financial figures and terms. In my view, once the original transaction had been unwound, the replacement transaction should have been treated as a new deal with every financial obligation clearly reviewed and explained. That did not happen. After the second transaction was completed, I was contacted regarding a payment obligation that had not been clearly addressed with me during the new finance process. Another person was present during that discussion, and this issue was not clearly explained before the transaction was finalized. My concern is not simply whether the payment itself was ultimately required. My concern is the assumption that information or obligations connected to the previous, unwound transaction could simply carry over into a new transaction without being clearly explained again. This was especially disappointing because the dealership had already been given an opportunity to correct the original situation and restore my confidence. At this point, my experience reflects more than one isolated mistake. I encountered repeated communication failures, inconsistent information, poor coordination between departments, avoidable errors, and important details being left to assumption rather than clearly explained. I do appreciate the employees who made genuine efforts to assist me, and I recognize that vehicle financing can be complicated. However, customers should reasonably expect accurate paperwork, clear disclosure of all financial obligations, and consistent communication between sales, finance, and management before a transaction is completed. After being asked to reconsider my review because of how much effort the dealership said it had made to help me, having another preventable issue arise immediately afterward was extremely disappointing and ultimately caused me to lose confidence in how the transaction was being handled. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that prospective customers carefully review every document, confirm every amount due, ask for important information in writing, and make sure all terms are clearly explained before signing or taking delivery. What should have been an exciting vehicle purchase was instead overshadowed by repeated problems. Empire Chevrolet of Huntington Pre-Owned ultimately left me with a very negative impression after I was given a vehicle and then had the transaction reversed on two separate occasions because of issues originating with the dealership. That experience took what should have been an exciting purchase and turned it into a stressful and disappointing one.

My experience with Empire Chevrolet of Huntington Pre-Owned started positively but ended extremely disappointingly. I worked with Joe in sales, who was pleasant and professional, to purchase a 2026 Chevrolet Equinox. I completed the paperwork, worked with Oscar Frank in finance, obtained insurance, signed the contracts, took delivery, and drove the Equinox home believing the transaction was complete. Less than 24 hours later, I was contacted and told that the dealership had failed to include the applicable New York sales tax when structuring the deal. I went directly to the dealership after work to try to resolve the issue. The dealership acknowledged that the sales tax had been missed on their end. I completely understand that I am responsible for legally required taxes. My frustration is with how the dealership handled its mistake after the vehicle had already been delivered to me. I felt essentially dismissed by the General Manager and finance manager when I asked whether the dealership could work with me to preserve the original deal. Given the circumstances, I would have appreciated the dealership absorbing some of the financial impact, providing an additional discount, or finding another reasonable solution. Instead, I was essentially given two choices: move into an older 2023 vehicle that fit the revised numbers or return the 2026 Equinox and take my Jeep back. Ultimately, after having the Equinox for less than 24 hours, the transaction was unwound and I left in my Jeep. I do want to specifically recognize Joe and Cassandra, who assisted with the insurance process. Both treated me well and were the bright spots of the experience. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a dealership responds when one happens. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with management’s handling of this situation and their unwillingness to find a reasonable way to address the financial impact of an acknowledged dealership error. My advice to future buyers: before taking delivery, independently verify the sales tax, registration fees, trade payoff, final amount financed, lender approval, and complete out-the-door price, even after you’ve signed the paperwork. Empire Chevy had a great inventory for certified preowned newer model vehicles! Charice Valdes was our salesperson and she was lovely and patient! Frank Montero was a breeze in the finance department. I would recommend either of them if you're looking for a new or used vehicle!
