always excellent service when I go there. For many years I have been working with Gus, Josh, Rickie and Rob. and Trish is always awesome when I need a loaner car. Im working with Fred to buy a new Ford because everything was always great. Fred was the only car salesperson that I truly like dealing with.

On July 15, 2025, I dropped my truck off at Empire Ford to fix a problem I was having with my truck slipping from third to fourth gear and shifting erratically at different speeds. This was a problem I had since the day I picked my truck up, with 24 miles on it—it never got worse and never got better. On July 21, I picked my truck up and asked what the problem was. I was told that the service department replaced the clutches because they were burnt, to which I expressed doubt because this problem existed from day one and I could not have possibly bought a truck with burnt clutches. When I left, I immediately noticed the same issues, with no improvement in the driving condition of my truck. I spoke with the technician, Anthony, and explained there was no improvement in the way my truck drove. Anthony suggested I drive it for 1,000 miles and let him know if it gets any better. Once I reached 1,000 miles, I called Anthony back to let him know it was driving the same. Anthony asked me to bring my truck back to Empire Ford. We went for a drive, and he verified the problem was ongoing and that I needed a new transmission. I spoke with Anthony a few times after that, and he explained had to get the go-ahead from Ford to replace my transmission. At some point, Anthony stopped returning my calls. I then reached out to Bob Corrado, the service manager at Empire Ford. After several phone calls and emails, I finally reached Bob. Bob explained that Anthony no longer worked at Empire Ford. I told Bob that I was having the same issues with my truck that I had when I brought it in on July 15. I also mentioned that I never received a work order, describing the work that had been done, from when I first had my truck repaired. Bob assured me that he would get me my work order right away and that he would set something up for me to come back in with my truck. I had to follow up with Bob several times over phone and email before I was able to get in touch with him again. Bob eventually responded, apologizing for “dropping the ball” and mentioned that he would have Trish get back to me to schedule a time for me to bring my truck in and provide me with a loaner car. At this point, I still had not received a copy of my work order, so I called a random service advisor and requested it once again. Several thousand miles had passed before Empire Ford was able to get me in. On October 30, 2025, I brought my truck in and discussed my concerns with the first repair. I mentioned that there was absolutely no change in the performance of my truck and that I do not feel the clutches were the problem. I also expressed my doubts that work had actually been done the first time. I was told that the valve body of my transmission was replaced, to which I responded that I was never informed it was replaced. Bob said he knew it was because he saw the part number. I also mentioned to Bob that on the work order, it said I had stated there was an oil leak visible from the driver’s side of the vehicle and that Ford verified and repaired an oil leak. However, I never said there was an oil leak, nor did I ask Ford to look into one. I was never made aware of this issue. I feel this was added as unnecessary work my truck’s repair to increase the repair cost. Bob dismissed this concern and said they would get my truck fixed. After several weeks of not hearing anything, on November 12, 2025, I received a picture of my transmission strapped to the lift, accompanied by a text from Bobstating “Got tranny apart and reviewing internal components. Nothing jumping out on us, just wanted to update you.” On November 13, I asked Bob to give me a call. I received the reply: “I am in a meeting, what’s up?” I responded “I have questions, call me when you are free.” I got no response. On November 17, I sent a text “Hello Bob, I am following up from last week.” Again, I received no response. On November 27, 2025, I received a text “I know we have had the truck for a while. Ford just approved the valve body replacement. Part was ordered earlier but Ford’s new policy is we have to get prior approval before we can install again. Sorry for delays. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.” I responded: “So to confirm, the valve body was not replaced when it was in the first time?” I received a text back: “It was but it was faulty. We had to put it through SPW, which is parts warranty.” A week later, I called Bob because I wanted verification that this was the second valve body that was put in. I had looked at the parts list from the work order from the first repair and noticed there was no “valve body” listed on it. Bob implied it was replaced and that I, as the customer, do not know the part numbers. I explained that on the work order, the part numbers have the name of the part next to it, none of which said “valve body.” Bob got frustrated with me for questioning him and said we are going in circles. I said that I am not going in circles but rather asking a direct question because I do not understand why Ford would approve two valve bodies but not replace my transmission. I asked him to pull up my work order so we can go through it together, to which Bob responded that he did not have the time. Another week passed. I made multiple calls to Bob to inquire when my truck would be done. Bob never returned my calls. On December 12, 2025, I walked into the service department to speak to Bob directly. I was told he was out. I then asked to speak to Rob Corrado, Jr., the diesel service advisor that took my information down when I dropped my truck off. Rob was also not in. I then asked to speak directly to the technician working on my truck. He came out and we had a very candid conversation about the work he had done on my truck. He told me they replaced the valve body after having a Ford specialist look at the transmission with him. After not finding anything specific to stand out, they determined markings in the transmission could be the cause of the problem. The technician was then given authorization to change the valve body. I then specifically asked the technician about the valve body he replaced and whether it was the original valve body or a part that was replaced during the first repair. He told me it was the original valve body. I asked if he was sure, to which he said “100%.” I asked what was done the first time I dropped my truck off. He said he did not directly work on my truck the first time but that he knows the original valve body had just been taken out and cleaned. He also informed me that during the first repair, they had taken some other parts out and put them back together. He also stated that he had one other thing to complete on my truck that I had requested and that it would then be finished. Bob was never made aware of this conversation. On December 17, 2025, I was contacted by Bob, who had the technician in his office, to have a three-way conversation regarding the results and details of the repair. During this conversation, I asked whether this was the original valve body that was replaced, or whether it was a new valve body that was defective, as Bob had previously told me. The technician responded that it was the original valve body, not a replacement of a defective valve body. In a low voice, Bob responded to his technician “That wasn’t a new valve body that we put in? It was the original?” He sounded surprised. I addressed the fact that Bob insisted this was a second valve body they replaced and that they needed a special warranty request in order to get it replaced. Bob glazed over my statement, saying the truck now works perfectly and that there is no reason to go back and forth over anything. I expressed my reason for feeling uncomfortable with his answers. I feel that Bob either point-blank lied to me about the work done on my truck or has no idea what is going on in his service department. Nevertheless, I picked up my truck. I was not given the work order—I was told it still needed to be put together but that it would be sent to me. I took my truck for a drive, and again, noticed the same problems, with a few additional issues. I drove the truck for another thousand miles, as I knew I would likely have to, to allow the transmission to relearn itself. At this point, I still had not received my work order. I called Rob but did not receive a call back. I called the next day and again, did not receive a call back. I called Empire Ford and spoke with Trish, who told me Rob would send me the work order. I received the work order the next day in an email, to which I responded right away, asking Rob to give me a call. I did not receive a call. I called again three more times and did not receive a response. I called Empire Ford and spoke to a receptionist, who told me Rob would call me back. A few days passed and I had not received a call back, so I called Bob. I called Bob three or four times but did not receive a response. I left a final message, asking if I will get a call back. The first week of January 2026, Bob called me to ask what is going on. I explained that I left several messages for him and Rob because I am still having the same problem with the transmission. He asked what problem I was referring to. I explained the same problem I brought my truck in for, and then some. I also told him that I looked underneath the truck at the work that was done because I smelt transmission fluid. I noticed that the transmission coolant lines were all bent and were not reinstalled on the mounting brackets that hold it close to the chassis because they were damaged. They were hanging off and just one zip tie was holding it from swinging. These should have been replaced. I also explained that I found a tool that the technician left stuck in my frame, likely when he worked on my truck. I expressed my concern that if this is the result of the work I am seeing, what other issues am I not seeing? If I cannot rely on the dealer to do a quality job, who I am supposed to trust? I obviously cannot trust Bob because he either lied to me or has no idea what work was done on my truck. Bob abruptly said he would call the field supervisor right away to find out what should be done. I have not heard back from anyone since then. It took seven weeks to get my truck back. This is more than enough time to do the job correctly. Yet, it is in worse condition than when I first brought it in. I clearly was not made a priority when expressing my ongoing issues. I have given Bob many opportunities to be candid with me, even after letting them know I am more knowledgeable than the average customer with regard to my vehicles and capabilities. Despite that, he spoke to me like I had no idea what I was talking about and did not like to be questioned. I do not believe you can trust this dealership and its representatives to provide the security and reliability that we expect from a Ford dealership. This review is to advise the owners of Empire Ford of the poor service experience and unreliability of their service department and to caution future customers against trusting the service department with their vehicles.
