My husband and I bought/financed a Toyota last May 2nd. But just like other customers who made reviews here in the recent months, this dealership forgot/overlooked to immediately register our car with the DMV in NY. Our temporary plates will already expire this coming Sunday, May 31st. As of yesterday evening, our sales person, Danielle, was not able to give us a concrete, honest, and transparent update as to what exactly happened except putting the blame on the DMV about certain issues but since I did NOT see the exact emails and the dates of the emails from the DMV, I'm going back to the her/the dealership's lack of responsibility about our delayed NY plates. Between the lines of her vague responses on our text msg exchange, our registration was clearly forgotten and was processed starting only last week. Since around 5PM yesterday, May 28th when your dealership hours were still on until 7PM, she already started ignoring my messages. We will NOT be like the other customers who will be disrespected, ignored, and had to wait for a ridiculous 2-3 months for our registered plates and so were not able to use their cars because of the delayed plates. The dealership has a LEGAL responsibility to send customers their registered plates before the expiration of their temp plates and like us, pay close to $500 for this. Of course, we have the legal right to follow-up as well. Your dealership is building a reputation of not fulfilling your legal responsibility of shipping customers their plates before the due date. This issue needs to be seriously resolved for good.
