I’m very disappointed with my experience at this Toyota service department. I came in for my annual New York State inspection, and I was told that I needed to approve additional fuel injection and throttle body cleaning services in order to receive my inspection sticker. "Service Advisor: Keith Mckenna" I later learned that these services are not mandatory requirements for passing the New York State annual inspection. I ended up paying hundreds of dollars for services that I understood were required in order for my vehicle to pass inspection. I have already called the dealership to formally complain about this situation. I felt pressured and misled during the process, especially because the service advisor made it seem like I had no choice if I wanted my inspection sticker. The dealership should review the security cameras and the interaction with the service advisor, because they can verify exactly what was said and how the services were presented to me. I expect transparency from an authorized Toyota dealership, especially when recommending optional maintenance. Customers should clearly be told what is required by New York State and what is simply an optional dealership recommendation. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
