Apathetic, incompetent, unwilling to help. Went to Lia Honda today for a part for my Acura, which shares its V6 with numerous Hondas. The part I was looking for is common, and a known failure point for my Acura, as well as many Hondas. I went to the parts desk where I was given the completely surprising news that I was "at a Honda dealer, and you drive an Acura". I was adamant that the part I was searching for was common, and shared between Honda and Acura. He also noted that Honda and Acura have completely different part inventory systems, which I happen to know is not the case. William, the parts salesman, then instructed me to "help him out" and call the Acura dealer for a parts number. This is something I would expect to be within the purview of responsibility for a parts salesman, and not my responsibility as a customer. After a few minutes of obstruction, I continued to insist he search for the part (and found the correct part number in 30 seconds of Googling). Of course, the part was in stock. Lucky for this dealership, Honda makes an excellent product. Despite this dealership's best efforts to thwart sales, the product itself will (and should) continue to sell. Sadly, the dealership knows this and continues to settle for mediocrity.

William Buckner at Lia Honda of Albany was very helpful in working through our service visit. He went over the list I gave to make sure we were on the same page. Then he called with the initial review which included the inspection and was very helpful and detailed on the update to the service visit.
