Cars.comI DO NOT RECOMMEND LIA HYUNDAI. Worst buying experience ever. I purchased a used EV from Lia Hyundai of Albany on Sept 20, 2025. Before purchasing the vehicle or signing any sales paperwork, I confirmed that the vehicle was eligible for the IRS used clean vehicle tax credit - I was told via text by my salesperson Justin Pakatak and multiple times in person by Justin and Paolo Albanaese that it was eligible. When signing the paperwork, I requested paperwork verifying the time of sale report submission to the IRS, I was told no one was in the office that day to submit the report and was given a phone number to follow up on Monday but was assured that it would be done within the 3-day reporting window. I called on Sept 22 multiple times to get a copy of the report, I was sent to several voicemails, my messages were not returned, and my emails were not returned. After following up with multiple people both at Lia Hyundai and Lia Auto Group, I was told by sales manager Jeff Hannagan on April 7, 2026 that the vehicle is NOT eligible, but was not given any reason (namely, is the vehicle itself an issue, or did Lia submit the report incorrectly). Either way, I was blatantly lied to. Now, I may have my federal income taxes rejected by the IRS and am out $4000. I am following all legal venues available to recoup my loss. I will NEVER recommend this dealership or work with them again.

GoogleAnother great experience at Lia Hyundai Albany working with our rep Cassie! This will be our third lease and Cassie is incredible! Shes professional, knowledgeable, calm and friendly! This dealership is super easy to make a transaction at. Jeff the finance manager awesome as well, he made it easy! Well be back in a few months for our daughters next lease, looking forward to it! DealerRaterGreat re-leasing experience with Karen Kingsley my salesperson. Very friendly, personable, and highly professional. In many little ways she made my dealership experience pleasant. I had vetted her many months earlier by reading dealership reviews. New to the Capital District region, I needed to feel most comfortable having moved from another part of New York and happy with my previous dealer. Karen Kingsley certainly met and exceeded my expectations.

EdmundsWe went to the dealership as walk-in, but ended up leaving the place with car keys. All in one day! What supposed to be just an inquiry turned to be our best decision to date. Mike, who attended to us, was so accommodating. He knows how to match what you need without pushinglaying out the best options you can get. He assissted us from start to the end, even showed us that Hyundai key fobs are actually Hyundai logo which is pretty cool! Everything was taken care of from start to finish, dmv papers, assistance on getting an auto insurance, and options on practical ad-ons. Great people, great manager, great options and services. A lot of thanks to Jeff, and of course, to Mikea great guy who's doing a really great job!
