Lia Hyundai did not send in Form 15400 to IRS with my VIN information last Sept 30 and thus IRS is refusing to give me the $7500 EV credit on Mt 2025 taxes. I have sent emails to them and have not heard back. IRS sent me the CP11 asking me to verify my qualifications recently. Never received the needed IRS form 15400 from the dealer neither. Need to send in a copy of my Bill of Sale and hope that works. Very disappointed with Lia Hyundai of Albany.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND LIA HYUNDAI. Worst buying experience ever. I purchased a used EV from Lia Hyundai of Albany on Sept 20, 2025. Before purchasing the vehicle or signing any sales paperwork, I confirmed that the vehicle was eligible for the IRS used clean vehicle tax credit - I was told via text by my salesperson Justin Pakatak and multiple times in person by Justin and Paolo Albanaese that it was eligible. When signing the paperwork, I requested paperwork verifying the time of sale report submission to the IRS, I was told no one was in the office that day to submit the report and was given a phone number to follow up on Monday but was assured that it would be done within the 3-day reporting window. I called on Sept 22 multiple times to get a copy of the report, I was sent to several voicemails, my messages were not returned, and my emails were not returned. After following up with multiple people both at Lia Hyundai and Lia Auto Group, I was told by sales manager Jeff Hannagan on April 7, 2026 that the vehicle is NOT eligible, but was not given any reason (namely, is the vehicle itself an issue, or did Lia submit the report incorrectly). Either way, I was blatantly lied to. Now, I may have my federal income taxes rejected by the IRS and am out $4000. I am following all legal venues available to recoup my loss. I will NEVER recommend this dealership or work with them again.

Tim is a pleasure to work with. He take the time to explain what I need and the cost.

These "people" tried to add $2500 of nonsense fees on top of the list price. I don't play those games and I suggest you look elsewhere if you value your time.

Service tech was prompt and professional. Michael Carpenter explained all work performed and all costs involved. Got me in and out of there in less time than I expected. I was very pleased.

sales guy was good, had car less than a week and the wiring harness for the brake light kept making the dash light come on and off... Disappointed, Wouldn't recommend. You'd think with a dealership as big as Lia with as much money they make, they would make a small issue like this good for the customer less than a week after buy a car from them. Crazy

Karen Kingsley was an outstanding sales professional. She was incredibly thorough and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. I would never recommend Lia Hyundai to anyone—not even my worst enemy. If you're looking for car maintenance, steer clear unless you enjoy feeling blackmailed, with your vehicle held hostage while you write endless "ransom" checks. Here's my nightmare experience, step by step, to show why. I own a modest car valued at no more than $4,000. I took it in for a simple headlight replacement and some routine maintenance. The dealership quickly identified over $3,000 in "necessary" repairs. I declined most of them but agreed to a wheel alignment and brake pad replacement, trusting their expertise. As soon as I drove off the lot, new problems emerged that weren't there before: A loud, unavoidable scraping noise from the driver's side rear brake—something the mechanics must have noticed during their work. The steering wheel shaking violently when driving over 70 mph. Hoping they'd fix their mistakes, I brought the car back the next day. Instead of owning up, they hit me with a $200 "inspection fee" just for showing up. They claimed the steering shake required wheel balancing (another charge) and quoted $1,200 to repair the rear emergency brake issue. No apologies, no accountability—just more upsell. Frustrated, I went to an independent mechanic for a second opinion. They diagnosed a faulty lower ball joint as the likely cause of the steering shake (not mentioned by Lia) and said I'd need another alignment after replacing it. For the scraping noise, they simply removed the damaged parts from the rear emergency brake—no major repair needed. It's clear Lia Hyundai preys on customers by inventing or ignoring issues, pushing unnecessary services at inflated prices (like their 500% markups), and refusing to correct their own errors without extra fees. If I'd kept paying, they'd have strung me along indefinitely. Do yourself a favor: Skip this shady dealership and find a local, independent mechanic. They'll almost certainly be more honest, transparent, and fair—Lia sets a low bar.

The setup was good for business. Josephine was very professional and respectful. She new her job
