Today I visited Crown Volvo for service and had a very disappointing experience with Service Representative Joe. My car was finished quickly, yet I received no call or text. I remained in the waiting area for two hours while Joe walked past me without mentioning that my vehicle was ready. Before this, Joe recommended a very expensive maintenance that I felt was unnecessary, and I declined it. After that interaction, the lack of communication felt really concerning. Regardless of the reason, this behavior is unacceptable for a dealership known for its high standards.

I brought my vehicle in for a standard oil change on July 3. At checkout, I was advised that my brake fluid would need attention soon. On July 6, I took it to someone to get a second opinion. While the hood was open, we discovered that the coolant overflow tank cap had been left completely off following the service!! (see photo). Given the importance of proper fluid system maintenance, this was a significant oversight! I immediately contacted the service department to report the issue. This experience raises serious concerns about the thoroughness and quality control of the service performed on my vehicle then and moving forward.

Leah greeted us As soon as we arrived at the Crown Volvo St Pete dealership. It was refreshing coming in from 100° to an air-conditioned pristine office. We were in In-N-Out in three hours, which is remarkable for someone without patience as myself I saw the car I loved the car. She explained the car and I I bought the car thank you, Leah.

Spent days researching prices on the used car that I was looking at. Came to what I thought was a reasonable price based upon what KBB, Edumnds, and Car & Driver recommended. Salesman Chris seemed to get offended by the price and seemed to get pissed off by something either I or my wife said. Office manager came down about $900, but still about $2,000 off the price I thought it should be. Don't expect them to negotiate much. I might have worked with them if Chris did not get upset, but once he did, I was put off. Everything was five star up until the negotiation.

I brought my 2021 Volvo XC60 to Crown Volvo in St. Petersburg because the AC stopped working during the Florida summer. When I dropped off the vehicle, I was told that the deposit/diagnostic charge would be applied toward the repair if I chose to move forward with the recommended work. The advisor also told me that it would likely just need refrigerant and that the cost would probably be around the amount of the deposit. I specifically asked what would happen if the issue turned out to be something else or if I chose not to proceed with repairs. The explanation was unclear, and because I was trying to get back to the hospital for work and get my AC functioning as quickly as possible, I left the vehicle based on my understanding of the conversation. A short time later, I received an estimate of more than $5,000 for a possible evaporator repair. Given the cost, I decided to seek a second opinion and declined the repair. When I picked up my vehicle, I was charged $280.36 despite no repairs being performed. I understand that diagnostic fees are common, but I was surprised by the amount charged considering the initial expectations that were set and the fact that the diagnosis provided was that the issue might be the evaporator. I would have appreciated clearer communication upfront regarding the charges and exactly what would happen if I chose not to move forward with the repair. What was most disappointing was the interaction when I asked for clarification about the charges. Rather than feeling like my concerns were being addressed, I felt I was spoken to in a condescending manner. Before leaving this review, I made an effort to resolve the matter directly by calling and leaving a message for management. Unfortunately, my call was never returned. A simple follow-up conversation could have gone a long way toward addressing my concerns and avoiding the need for a public review. I am not asking for anything unreasonable—I simply believe the situation could have been handled with better communication, transparency, and customer service. I hope Crown Volvo will review this matter and consider a goodwill adjustment or refund of a portion of the charge.

I am very disappointed with the service department at this dealership. I contacted them on several occasions regarding a service request and never received a response. Despite multiple attempts by phone and email, my inquiries were ignored, and no one followed up with me. Good customer service starts with communication, and unfortunately, this service department failed in that basic expectation. It is frustrating to spend time reaching out repeatedly only to receive no acknowledgment or assistance. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership. The lack of responsiveness and customer support has left a very negative impression. If you are considering purchasing or servicing a vehicle, I would recommend going to another dealership. Customers deserve timely communication and professional service, neither of which I experienced here.

Chose Crown Volvo for our first service after moving to town. Big mistake. Had a tire low on air. The service advisor advised that there was a nail in the sidewall and the entire tire had to be replaced. I asked to see it. He had to check to see if that was allowed. After being escorted to the bay, he pointed out a screw in the middle of the tire tread (not side wall) but said they still couldn’t patch it because of the noise canceling foam in the tire. Asked if they had the tire I. Stock and he said yes. I gave home permission to replace the tire as he made it clear there was no other option. After 20 minutes he returned and said they did not have the tire and could t get it for 5 days. He asked if I wanted him to put the donut on instead of offering a loaner car. We traveled 45 miles to get this service. I drove the car off with a screw in the tire due to their horrible customer service. I made an appointment with another Volvo dealer in the area. They ordered the tire and when I arrived two days later for installation, they said there were actually two screws in the tire and they repaired both instead of replacing the tire savings me over $500! Stay away from Crown Volvo Service.
