I am very disappointed with the service department at this dealership. I contacted them on several occasions regarding a service request and never received a response. Despite multiple attempts by phone and email, my inquiries were ignored, and no one followed up with me. Good customer service starts with communication, and unfortunately, this service department failed in that basic expectation. It is frustrating to spend time reaching out repeatedly only to receive no acknowledgment or assistance. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership. The lack of responsiveness and customer support has left a very negative impression. If you are considering purchasing or servicing a vehicle, I would recommend going to another dealership. Customers deserve timely communication and professional service, neither of which I experienced here.
I was very happy with my interactions with the salesperson "Jake". No pressure, very thoughtful and knew exactly what I was looking for, in terms of help and information. I purchased a pre-owned car from Crown Volvo. They were accommodating, knowledgeable and courteous, in general. I would recommend them if you are going to be in the market for your next car. The level of professionalism was far above the other dealerships (flagship dealerships) that I interacted with regarding the sale of a pre-owned car. The others would badger you almost daily or their sales pitches were off putting. I suppose that goes with experience and style. Understand who your customer is and what they want. Jake did that flawlessly. The car I purchased I have complete confidence in. The I also had a positive experience with finance person and the rest of the staff, as they were also courteous to my family and myself. Overall, I could not ask for a better experience when looking for and finding my "new car". Thank you!

Crown Service is the worst. Volvo's too. 8 months ago i got a new XC-90. Today it is sitting on the driveway as it is not starting. I called at 8:00 in the morning. She told me that they be happy to check my car if I tow it. However, I asked for a call back as I thought i could be something with the app. After 4 hours nobody has called. So I called back to be told that Volvo Corporate will cover the cost of the towing but I need to set up an appointment. During my call with Corporate, they told me that I needed to call only 90 minutes before the towing, so I couldn's get an appointment today for tomorrow, as they were unable to set up any appointments earlier than 90 minutes. I find all this so non sense. DO NO BUY A VOLVO as their service is the worst. There are better luxurious cars out there with better service.
Excellent Sales people, especially a salesperson named George. The maintenance department is good but they did mis-diagnosis our air conditioning issue twice and needed to have it fixed by another dealer. The general manager is probably the biggest issue. Generally, there are no bad employees, just bad Managers. Love our new Volvo and Tesla but our Volvo didn't come from Crown.

Non-Local Buyers Beware: I approached this dealership READY to purchase. They (Joe C.) mishandled things so badly, that even though I loved the car, I could not buy from them. Want to hear why? Read on... Firstly, I was speaking in the evening to Keith L. ... He was honest, helpful... But it was the end of the day, and we couldn't get things done before he had to leave. So, he promised someone would get back to me 'first-thing' the next morning... The next morn, two hours after they opened, no one had contacted me, so I reached out to them. Come to find out, Keith had left... or been fired... the night before. Weird, to be sure, but stuff happens... so I tried to roll with it. I next spoke to Bruce B. He was kind, somewhat helpful, but ultimately he just passed me off the the sales/leasing mgr., Joe C. This is where things really fell apart. As I said, I was READY to buy... He had a sale in his hand! I had some questions, which he begrudgingly answered... But he always returned to his high-pressure generic pitch, "We have two other people interested in this car... you need to put money down NOW!" I can parse through B.S. with the best of them, so I tried to let that go... And, again, I was READY to buy... So I went to put the money down on an online form Joe (or his team) sent... And the invoice was COMPLETELY wrong: no car listed, no price, wrong terms, wrong customer listed, and so essentially said nothing about what my deposit was for--- in fact, the invoice didn't mention it at all. I asked him politely to correct the invoice, otherwise I couldn't feel comfortable sending my money. He refused-- not once, not twice, but thrice --- the third time telling me "This is ridiculous." It's ridiculous for me to ask you, a customer service "professional," for help... and accuracy in your documentation, before I send you money? "I'm offsite," he kept replying. 'Send the money and I can adjust everything later..." Is that really your business practice? I send you my money and just trust that you'll do everything correctly, when you've shown none of that? Long story made short: I approached them, ready to buy... As the deal progressed, I was STILL going to buy "despite their poor customer service"--- because I liked the car so well. By the end, things were so bad that I was forced to walk-- and write this. This is probably only my 5th review of ANY business EVER... I don't do that, typically. But i felt compelled to here, hoping it might help someone else steer clear of the terrible experience I had at Crown Volvo Cars in St. Petersburg, FL.
I have purchased a used Volvo through them and used their service department on a different Volvo purchased through another dealer. When I bought the used Volvo I couldn't figure out why it was taking so long to get the car to me. Turns out the battery died. What bothered me was the lying about it. First they told me they were washing it, then they told me they were getting gas and finally when pushed, they told me the truth. Turns out that car had issues with batteries for the remainder of our ownership. The biggest issue was service. With the Volvo I bought from another dealership, before the warranty expired I brought it in for any last updates and an oil change. Thought everything was fine until about two months later the Low Coolant light comes on. When I removed the panel to access the coolant reservoir, I could see the the lid to the RESERVOIR HAD NEVER BEEN PUT BACK. It was literally sitting next to it. The plastic cover luckily stopped it from being lost. But you have got to be pretty blind to not replace it before putting on the panel. This clearly soured me from returning. I honestly have never been a big fan of the Crown dealership. I bought a Nissan there in the 1990's and almost bought another in 2005 but the Salesman was a typical stereotype. Told him I was buying in the next 24 hours and to give me his best offer, I left as it was much more than Autoway Nissan but kept calling me back with lower offers. By then I had had my new car for weeks.
I moved to the Tampa area about a year ago and had to find a new Volvo dealership to service my Volvo. I have been delighted with the service provided by Crown Volvo of St. Petersburg. Anytime I have called with a small or a big problem, it was immediately addressed by Brian Tessitore or his team. When the electical system went out, Brian had me bring in the car ASAP and was able to provide me a loaner car. Brian kept me up to date on the status of the repair. I have gone in for air for my tires and they take me immediately. There was one time when I mentioned that I thought they could have done a better job cleaning the car and Brian responded by giving me a free detail. Mary Mattingly is also a great person to work with. I am glad to have Brian, Mary and the team at Crown Volvo servicing my car needs.

My experience at Crown Volvo Service is attributed to the management of the Service Advisors employed there. Samantha Scollo, Joseph Guerrero and Brian Tessitore are an asset to the automotive repair division. They try at all cost, according to my experience, to have a satisfied customer. They know how to relate to the public and alleviate your fears. They also listen to your complaints and not try to brush you off, as many service personnel due. They show respect for the customer as they proceed to resolve the problem at hand.

This was my first time buying a car through a dealership and both Gabe Bowman (sales) & Sylvester (Financial Manager) made the process very simple and transparent. I shop around many dealers before closing with crown Volvo and one of the important things that made me go with them it was the excellent costumer treatment. The process of looking for the best OTD Price for the vehicle I was looking for I did it through text and email with lots of dealers and Gabe always responded my questions rapidly and also gave me what I was looking for and for how much I was looking to pay. Once we agree on a number and we went to the dealer to close the deal in financing Sylvester (financing manager) was very helpful and patient to answers all of our questions and showing us every part of the contract. I will definitely buy from them again.

This is regarding the service department, not sales. I purchased a used vehicle that needed a new window seal. I was requested to bring in my car the Wednesday before Thanksgiving (11/22). I attempted multiple times to contact my "service advisor" the following week. After multiple emails and phone calls, I was told they were awaiting a part which should arrive early the following week. We are at the end of the following week, and once again, I cannot get any updates on when my car will be ready. It has now been 15 days. Avoid this service department at all costs.
Fix the phone system! You are a car dealer...answer the phones! My first few experiences here were always professional and the staff was responsive. Way too much work to speak to someone. Bought 2 cars here a few years ago. Taking business to tampa Volvo bc they answer the phones.
Brian over at crown did a great job and I would highly recommend this location.Brian over at crown did a great job and I would highly recommend this location.
Crown dealerships have excellent customer service, and Volvo it's no exception. From the salesperson helping you buy a car, to the manager, to the car service representative, you get friendly, knowledgeable and courteous attention. I don't mind hanging out while my car gets serviced :)
Working with Crown Volvo was great! Mary, the salesperson, was helpful from start to finish. She made sure I found the right car and was comfortable driving it before buying it. It was the literally the best car buying experience that I have had - and the car is great - a smooth and comfortable ride. I would recommend Mary at Crown Volvo without reservation
A tale of two dealerships: I purchased my Volvo with a tire repair package from the Volvo dealership in Tampa. I had a mishap and got a flat a couple days prior to leaving on a 13 hour road trip. I contacted the Tampa dealership and was advised that they could order my tire and get it in by Friday morning (made the call on Wednesday AM)but couldn't guarantee they could get the repair done by close of business. They suggested that I contact a car rental facility and rent a vehicle, so I could leave my vehicle there Thursday overnight, so they could squeeze try it in as soon as they could. So basically I was asked to spend money to work around their overbooked schedule, even though I purchased this tire package when I bought the car... so THEN I contacted Crown Volvo. Their customer service was far superior!!! They also said they could not get the tire until Friday but said flat tires are emergencies, so guaranteed it could be fixed by Friday afternoon. They jumped through a few hoops and actually worked with a sister dealership to get me in on Thursday. I have decided to switch my care to the Crown dealership
Mary is awesome and helpful and we knew her since we got our first Volvo. And she's great helping us to buy our leased car.
Excellent service. Went in to get an oil change and ended up leaving with a brand new car! Everything was explained thoroughly and there were no surprises. Would definitely recommend to friends for their car buying.
Mary and Chris were fantastic. This is my second purchase from Volvo. I have never had a better experience with a dealership. I highly recommend them for your Volvo purchase.
I came just to see a car I saw online! I drove that car away today and was not expecting to buy a car! Mary Mattingly was absolutely wonderful I hadn't eaten and she gave me a granola bar. The whole process was simple and fun and everyone was friendly.
Brian McDanial was patient very courteous and answered all are questions. Mary Mattingly was very nice and made us feel for comfortable during our experience
Mary worked hard to understand preferences, and was patient with us during the search. Extremely knowledgeable about the cars.We are a repeat buyer and had referred a friend, who also purchased two cars from Mary. Bonus: Mary ensured we could watch the ACC championship game during the purchase process.
Really one of the best service experiences I've ever had...when you spend big money it's nice to be treated with such kit gloves!! Their service rep was phenomenal, he reached out and shared the costly news in a way that made me want to thank him!! #volvoc70
Mary was an excellent saleswoman, answered every single question I had on the car, thoughouly went through the car, as well as all the functions, and was a pleasure to be around. Crown Volvo has a customer for life!
Excellent experience from the moment we drove on the lot. Parking was easy and available, our sales woman was outstanding, and the process of acquiring our new car was a breeze. Mary was knowledgeable about the vehicles and went out of her way to help make sure we got a good sales package put together for the car we wanted. If anyone is looking at a luxury vehicle recommended they come to Crown Volvo and ask for Mary.
Mary Mattingly is amazing! I've worked with her for years. She's my go-to and I trust her with every purchase and lease.
Fantastic experience working with Mary. Always great follow-up and very proactive in anticipating and meeting our needs. She made what could have been a complicated process smooth and easy.
Mary was super helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. She knows her stuff and is so approachable, and made me feel comfortable instantly! Shout out to you, Mary. Thanks for the 10/10 service!!
Specifically drove to this dealership because I have been unimpressed with the dealership in Tampa. I had a battery light on. They said nothing was wrong with my battery and 90 minutes later sent me on my way free of charge. Well ten days later, my battery died in a remote parking lot where I was stranded. I had no choice but to bring it back to the Tampa dealership where it was determined that yes, my battery needed to be replaced. I'm disappointed that both of the Volvo dealerships in the area I just relocated to have let me down in the service departments. For this reason, when the time comes, I will not purchase another Volvo if I'm still residing in this area.
had a great experience from start to finish when leasing my new xc60 thanks to chris lowry and the crown family
Crown Volvo provides a great customer service experience, through and through. Being a first time Car buyer, I was strict on price and picky about what I wanted. Bud and Mary put in the work to meet my criteria and even had a car shipped in from another dealership. I've been driving around for close to 2 weeks in the new car and could not be happier with my decision to go with Crown. For friendly, attentive and honest service, call this team!!
After negotiating a deal with Crown Volvo in St. Petersburg FL for a 2020 Volvo XC40, they wanted to add another $800 "dealer fee"? Really? For what? They are already making money on the vehicle. So after sleeping on it, we decided to cancel the deal and asked for our $1,000 deposit check be mailed back to us. That was 4-weeks ago and no check. This week we wrote an email to Ken Feck, General Manager and Derrick Smith, Sales Manager asking them where is our returned check. Well as you can imagine as "typical" dealers, they don't want to know you if you're not a buyer. No reply to our emails. No returned deposit check. Volvo also offered a $50 online Test Drive Coupon, which we gave to our salesperson at the time of the test drive. No Volvo Test Drive Gift Card, either. We had to put a Stop Payment on our check and were charged a $33 Bank Fee. Thanks CROWN. Crown was a bad experience, poor customer service and no follow up. We will NEVER do business with you again! PLEASE read the online reviews about Crown. No, not the good ones that you don't know who wrote, but the other ones and then you decide.
